What is a Facelift?
A facelift is designed to smooth the sagging skin on your face and neck, tighten the underlying tissues, remove excess fatty tissue and refine your neckline. The incisions are hidden within your hair and in the natural creases of your skin. Our goal is to refresh and rejuvenate your facial appearance, make you appear younger, but very natural.
Who is a good candidate for this procedure?
Good candidates for a facelift are men and women in the 40-70 age range who have deep wrinkles in the cheeks, sagging or loose skin in the neck and near the cheekbones and loss of neckline and facial definition.
What is the recovery like from this procedure?
The side effects from the facelift include temporary discomfort, swelling, bruising and numbness. In general, the swelling and bruising will begin to resolve within the first week and you will be able to start wearing makeup. Most of my patients resume their normal activities within two weeks. Full recovery from the bruising and swelling may take 2 to 3 weeks.
