Facial Resurfacing

What is a Facial Resurfacing?

A wide range of treatments is available for improving the fine lines and wrinkles on the face and enhancing the general appearance and texture of the skin. These range from medical skin care products that can be used at home to lunchtime peels that are performed in our office to surgical procedures that are performed in the operating room in conjunction with a facelift.

Who is a good candidate for this procedure?

Good candidates for facial resurfacing are patients who want to improve the overall texture and appearance of their facial skin and reduce the fine lines and wrinkles.

What is the recovery like from this procedure?

Side effects from the resurfacing depend on which treatment is chosen and range from essentially no down time (the lunchtime peels) to a 3 to 7 day healing period (dermabrasion).
