Cathy talks about overcoming breast cancer

The diagnosis of breast cancer elicits a myriad of emotions.  If I were to pick the strongest, it would be the feeling of being incredibly vulnerable.  The process of healing takes time, and that allowed me to face different aspects of my life and re-prioritize.  There are pars that are sad, with an overwhelming feeling of loss, and parts that were so humorous (like getting my picture taken naked before surgery) that helped me put my entire life in perspective.  I’ve come out a better person, both mentally and physically because of the diagnosis and the healing that occurred afterward–and is still going on.
